INXS - Elegantly Wasted

INXS (pronounced "IN exCESS") are an Australian rock and new wave group. The band was formed on 16 August 1977, in Sydney, Australia. INXS began under the name The Farriss Brothers which was created at Davidson high school NSW where they began but the band changed it just prior to the release of their self-titled début album in 1980, INXS, which featured "Just Keep Walking," their first Australian hit single.

Elegantly Wasted is the 10th studio album by the Australian rock band INXS. It was released on 15 April 1997 and is the final album recorded with lead singer Michael Hutchence who was found dead in a Sydney hotel room on November 22 of that year.

At the 1996 BRIT Awards, Michael Hutchence presented Oasis with an award, after which their characteristically arrogant lead vocalist Liam Gallagher remarked "Has-beens shouldn't be presenting awards to gonna-bes". During the chorus of "Elegantly Wasted" the band can be heard singing "I'm better than Oasis."

Don't Lose Your Head" is featured on the soundtrack for the film Face/Off starring John Travolta and Nicholas Cage. Clips from the movie also appear in the music video.
